AutoTuner Adds Bosch ECM4 Support for Heavy Duty Trucks

AutoTuner has broadened its Heavy Duty vehicle coverage with the addition of official support for Bosch ECM4 ECUs. This update facilitates the tuning of high-demand 13-liter Euro 6 engine platforms in Renault, Volvo, and Mack Trucks, specifically utilizing the 100% Bench Normal Read (NR) method on the AutoTuner Tool.

The newly supported engine models include the Renault Trucks DTI13 series (440, 480, 520, and TC 480 configurations), as well as Volvo Trucks equipped with the D13K engines (460 and 500). Additionally, Mack Trucks featuring the 13-liter MP8 engines are now compatible, including the Anthem and Pinnacle models projected for release in 2025.

For professionals in the tuning industry, this expanded functionality allows for improved capabilities with popular commercial vehicle platforms. The update reportedly includes features like checksum correction, backup creation, and optimized read and write times—3 minutes and 15 seconds for reading, and 1 minute and 30 seconds for writing, utilizing the TC299 MCU.
