KESS3 Introduces New BENCH Protocols for MDG1 ECUs

KESS3 has announced an update that introduces new BENCH protocols designed for Bosch MDG1 'Locked' ECUs, following the unlocking process enabled by the KESS3 Unlock Module. This enhancement allows professional tuners to read and write to these protected ECUs directly from their connectors without the need for physical disassembly after unlocking.

The release supports various Bosch ECU models that are already known to work in BOOT 'Unlock' mode, including MD1CS003, MD1CS069, MD1CP007, MD1CS012, MG1CS042, and several others. These ECUs are commonly found in a wide range of both petrol and diesel vehicles from model year 2021 and later.

The unlocking process begins with using the KESS3 Unlock Module to access the ECU and execute the BOOT unlock procedure complete with the application of the necessary patch. Once this procedure is finished, tuners can connect to the ECU via BENCH method, streamlining their operational workflow.

These protocols are accessible to KESS3 users who hold CAR BENCH/BOOT activation and possess an active subscription. The Unlock Module is a prerequisite for carrying out the BOOT unlock procedure, significantly improving speed and safety in handling these high-demand Bosch MDG1 ECUs within the market.
