KESS3 Introduces New OBD Protocol for Bosch VD1CP110 UDM

The KESS3 platform has received an update that introduces a new OBD protocol for the Bosch VD1CP110 UDM, enhancing its capabilities for specific Ford and Volkswagen models. This development allows users to access aftertreatment systems through the vehicle's diagnostic port, streamlining the tuning process.

With this update, tuners can now work in OBD mode on vehicles such as the Ford Ranger, Ford Transit, and Volkswagen Amarok produced from 2023 onwards, all equipped with the 2.0 EcoBlue engine. This improved support enables faster and more efficient management of the UDM in conjunction with engine ECU modifications.

The expansion of intervention options assists professionals in addressing the latest generation of vehicles, providing greater flexibility in their tuning operations. This update aligns with the ongoing trends in the automotive industry, focusing on increased control over complex aftertreatment systems.
