New KESS3 BENCH Protocols for Bosch MDG1 ECUs Released

KESS3 has announced the release of new BENCH protocols specifically designed for Bosch MDG1 "Locked" ECUs, catering to both BMW and Mini vehicles. This update enhances the coverage for various models within the BMW Group, particularly focusing on the DDE8 and DME8 generations.

The new protocols allow tuners to interface directly with the ECU connector without the need to physically open the ECU itself. This approach minimizes the risk of damage and complexity associated with traditional invasive flashing methods. With these updates, tuners can efficiently work on a broad spectrum of modern petrol and diesel-powered vehicles across the BMW lineup, including compact cars, sedans, SUVs, and high-performance M models.

Availability of the new protocols is limited to KESS3 users equipped with CAR BENCH/BOOT activation and an active subscription. This enhancement aims to provide workshops with a streamlined and controlled process for managing and calibrating the latest Bosch electronics used in many of BMW's most popular powertrains.
