Siemens MS42 OBD Protocol Now Supported by AutoTuner Tool

AutoTuner has introduced support for the Siemens MS42 ECU, enabling full OBD Normal Read capabilities. This feature specifically caters to the BMW M52TU engine, known for its Double VANOS technology, and is aimed at the Youngtimer enthusiast market.

With this update, tuners can achieve maximum efficiency by connecting the AutoTuner Tool directly to the vehicle's diagnostic port, allowing for hardware reads and the ability to flash custom files without the need to remove the ECU. The read and write operations are both reported to take approximately one minute and thirty seconds.

The supported BMW models include several iterations of the 3-Series (E46), 5-Series (E39), 7-Series (E38), and Z3, all featuring the M52TU engine layout. This addition not only streamlines the tuning process for these classic vehicles but also enhances the overall driving experience.
